Thomas Hofmann newly elected TUM President

The TUM Graduate Council congratulates Prof. Dr. Thomas Hofmann on his election as new president of the Technical University of Munich.

On October 17th, the TUM Board of Trustees (Hochschulrat) elected a new president who will assume office for 6 years as of October 1st, 2019. After an intensive selection and introduction procedure including various candidates and which was accompanied by the former 1st Speaker of the TUM Graduate Council, Christoph Gschnaidtner, the TUM Board of Trustees elected Prof. Dr. Thomas Hofmann as the new president of the Technical University of Munich. As member of the TUM Senate, the current 1st Speaker Sindre Haugland was present during the election procedure.
