In 2019, TUMblue “The Excellence Must Go On” – the legendary casual networking event from doctoral candidates for doctoral candidates – takes place for the 6th year in a row – this year on June 7th, 2019 at the TUM Audimax Foyer. All guests will enjoy great music (including two live bands and renowned DJs), numerous networking opportunities, free beer and wine, gourmet food, and ice cream. More information here!

We have all been there: poster presentations at a science conference, where fellow colleagues have crammed the info-equivalent of one (or sometimes even more) papers into a single A0 “work of art”. You don’t want to be that colleague, right? So come join us at our workshop so that we can educate ourselves to become excellent at poster sessions!
If a presentation goes downhill, it is often easy to tell why. But there are no general “golden rules” for good presentations that apply for everyone and for every purpose. So how can you make sure that you capture your audience and get your message across? We will discuss some basic principles and apply them to hands-on examples.
On Wednesday, February 27th at 6:30pm in room 003 in the building of the TUM Graduate School (Campus Garching-Forschungszentrum) the TUM Graduate Council kicks of the new workshop series Communicating Science with an interactive workshop on “Storytelling for Science Talks” with Mogan Ramesh from the ProLehre team. On June 12th, 2019 the TUM Graduate Council meets at 6:00 pm for its 61st Meeting. The meeting takes place in room MW 2010 (Mechanical Engineering) at the Garching Campus.
As always, doctoral candidates from all Graduate Centers as well as all other members of TUM are more than welcome to join the meeting.
