We have all been there: poster presentations at a science conference, where fellow colleagues have crammed the info-equivalent of one (or sometimes even more) papers into a single A0 “work of art”. You don’t want to be that colleague, right? So come join us at our workshop so that we can educate ourselves to become excellent at poster sessions!
If a presentation goes downhill, it is often easy to tell why. But there are no general “golden rules” for good presentations that apply for everyone and for every purpose. So how can you make sure that you capture your audience and get your message across? We will discuss some basic principles and apply them to hands-on examples.
On Wednesday, February 27th at 6:30pm in room 003 in the building of the TUM Graduate School (Campus Garching-Forschungszentrum) the TUM Graduate Council kicks of the new workshop series Communicating Science with an interactive workshop on “Storytelling for Science Talks” with Mogan Ramesh from the ProLehre team. After the workshop snacks and drinks will be provided. In case you are interested in participating, please contact gc-garching@gs.tum.de. For more detail and further dates check out the event flyer.
